The goal was to combine an EDI
solution and e-invoicing solution
so that the digital connection of the distributor and supplier network would become the basis for a successful processing. Thanks to compacer, an automatic onboarding environment was created for new partners – a comfortable and fast way to digitally connect new dealers. With a network of many thousands of partners, this capability clearly increases competitiveness. Additional requirements, e.g. a chat technology for querying the availability of goods, were added later. Thus, our client’s business partners now have different digital channels to retrieve price and delivery information on articles.
This solution was extended by compacer’s e-Invoicing platform, so that efficient, highly automated work processes could be created. The connection now assures that invoices are received in a compliant, automated and digital manner and can be archived automatically. The error rate of manual entries has decreased to nearly zero thanks to EDI-based accounting formats; also, the need for paper invoices has been eliminated, which was very important to our client.
This reduces process costs and increases the processing speed in order processing, logistics, invoicing and payment handling.
Today, we are archiving around 20,000 digital invoices per month in compliance with German GAAP regulations, saving lots of trees.
