THE CHALLENGE
The historically grown EDI service platform needed to be modernised. For this purpose, the extant TradeXpress system had to be ported. The old system processed about 40,000 AS2 messages per hour and about 800 AS2 partners. A must-have was a 24/7 on-call service with technical support to be provided by the supplier.OUR SOLUTION
We realised an automated migration with more than 600 mappings from TradeXpress to edbic. Despite the high complexity, the migration effort could be reduced by more than 70% by means of tool-supported porting tools for automated format conversion and automated test procedures. The message formats transferred included EDIFACT, Tradacoms, VDA, ANSI X12, IDOC, XML, SPEC 2000M and others. In addition to the automated migration, an automated transfer of partner connections also took place. A special feature was the provision of functionalities for platform operation, e.g. certificate administration, automated certificate management and the integration of a black listing functionality.
