Less time and costs thanks to automated migration.

The challenge

The historically grown EDI service platform had to be modernized. To this end, the current TradeXpress system was to be ported.

Currently, approx. 40,000 AS2 messages are processed per hour and approx. 800 AS2 partners were to be provided with 24/7 on-call technical support.

The solution

An automated migration with more than 600 mappings from TradeXpress to edbic took place. Despite this high number, the migration effort was reduced by more than 70% using tool-supported porting tools for automated format conversion and automated test procedures. The transferred message formats included EDIFACT, Tradacoms, VDA, ANSI X12, IDOC, XML and SPEC 2000M.

In addition to the automated migration, an automated transfer of partner connections also took place. A special feature was the provision of functionalities for platform operation, e.g. certificate management, automated certificate management and the integration of blacklisting functionality.
